THE FORKING FUTURE
This video is my way of saying Thank You to the Crowbar. Once a week i hopped on my rented scooter and drove to the other side of Koh Phangan Island in Thailand..... for the Bitcoin Meet up. For 2 months i felt blessed with meeting interesting people, all drawn to the Crowbar to meet and talk about bitcoin and crypto. The Crowbar is a casual place with Chris as the layed back host. Here we shared drinks, ideas, food, excitement and lots of laughs. Most weeks there was a presentation. The night finished after hours of thought provoking conversation.
At times, since i started down this crypto rabbit hole, i have felt a bit of a weirdo. But here at Crowbar i felt at home. I could share joy, passion, predictions, doubts and energy with other like minded folks. I will always feel grateful for the time i spent going to the Crowbar. I can not recommend it enough. If you ever make your way to Thailand...you should find it! In this video i do not share any persons name... it is not about that. I was trying to capture a bit of the feeling of going to the meeting. I cut and edited dramatically, wading through 45 minutes of footage to edit it down to under 5 minutes....i would rather not admit to how much time i spent creating this. ... but my edits were in full love and not meant to make anyone look bad...it is not my intention to bring out some coherent understanding of crypto or bitcoin in this video... but my goal was to provide a feeling. It is my hope that you feel a touch of how i felt about meeting all these new friends.
The music in this video was 10,000 bitcoins by Laura Saggers
and Ode to Satoshi by Bitcoins & Gravy
THANK YOU

I totally agree, visit the bar and you will meet all kinds of crypto people
yep the crowbar is a fun little vortex
Brother!! I freaking loved this video. It's the color grading and the story! Just beautifully edited man!!
Winny out...for now ;)
thanks man... yeah this one was a blast to make... just kinda playing with editing and getting tricky with footage that was generally too dark. The crow bar lighting is not really ideal for video... but i searched around for angles that gave interesting shadows.... then chose filters that brought out the most light. sometimes dealing with the issues can lead you to more unique footage.
Awsome. Great songs and looks like an interesting crowd in there.
I loved living in Chaloklam - I was there for 7 months and if this bar was there then, I might never have left. So funny to see people discussing these life changing techs in such detail in that sleeply little fishing village.
Mind you, when I was there, we always used a fork and spoon to eat our seafood and rice. I think I'd struggle with the four fork method.
yeah... it was a funny spot...and yep the town and crypto wasnt really an obvious reality. Crow bar has been there for 12 years... so might have been there when you were.... and yeah... i never eat unless i have 4 forks.
the future is stronger with this one :D
yes... here comes the future

Dtube is too slow for me to watch the video, but I enjoyed the write-up you thoughtfully included in the post! Crowbar sounds like an amazing place and your words are a powerful tribute to it! Thanks for sharing this in #steemitbloggers
Superb man. What I love most about this video, apart from the music, is how much the conversation snippets must sound like some type of mad tech-gibberish to non-blockchain folks. I pretty much had an idea of the type of convo that was going on based on the little clips of people speaking but the average Joe would be like... what is this crazy conspiracy stuff! Ha ha, I guess what I'm saying is it gives that real good feel vibe that you get from being a part of this crypto thing. Such a good edit too m8, I'm well impressed :-)
