Steemit Hasn't Been Featured in Mainstream News Lately, but That's About to Change!

Steemit is a life-changing opportunity; I just wish more people knew this! Steemians everywhere share this sentiment, and it's particularly frustrating because the network does not get the media coverage it deserves.

Even worse, when it does, the coverage is not at all bullish. Remember that Steemit is the Facebook killer, but the mainstream has difficulty conceptualizing that. Facebook stock sells for $153. STEEM, in sharp contrast, is a little over $2.

Absolute "Scheisse" Coverage

How bad is the mainstream coverage of Steemit? If you Google "CNBC, Steemit," one of my Steemit posts actually pops up on the first page! That absolutely does not happen to me for fairly generic search terms.

When the mainstream does cover our beloved network, publications are quick to snipe at our collective ambitions. A great example is the Yahoo Finance piece, "Meet the Reddit-like social network that rewards bloggers in bitcoin." https://finance.yahoo.com/news/steem-steemit-bitcoin-reddit-cryptocurrency-000000501.html

Writer Daniel Roberts generally wrote a positive piece about Steemit. However, when his interviewee @heiditravels mentioned that "Steemit is going to blow Facebook out of the water," he responded with "At this point, that’s likely a stretch." This, despite the fact that he earned $120, to which he remarked, "Not bad."

What!? Is there any other platform, any other industry, from which you can make over a Benjamin for saying hello? Jeez...people submit themselves to experimental rectal examinations for that kind of money (not that I'm speaking from personal experience).

There just seems to be a big disconnect between the opportunity and the coverage.

Two Can Play This Game!

As far as I'm aware, Steemit hasn't generated hardly any media attention since the summer crash of last year. But with the STEEM currency rising above $2, I think it's time we change all that.

I just finished an article for InvestorPlace Media that I will submit for publication. I was asked to write about Facebook, and I did, with a major twist! :) Certainly, investors can rely upon the steadiness of FB in their portfolios. But no company, including Facebook, can stay complacent for long. I think that's good advice, if I say so myself.

I am hoping that this article generates considerable interest. At minimum, it should be redistributed by Nasdaq.com, which has posted Steemit-related content in the past. What would be awesome is if MSN Money, or even Yahoo Finance, could redistribute as well.

But because InvestorPlace has a sponsorship deal with E*Trade, no matter who picks up the article, the Steemit network will finally get positive coverage. I can't wait to share it with you all once it's officially published!

If You'd Like to Help!

If you'd like to help get more cryptocurrency coverage on InvestorPlace Media, you may contact them and request exactly that.

Per their website:
We love hearing from our readers and value your feedback. For comments and questions related to stories on InvestorPlace.com, please email us at [email protected].

I'd love to write more mainstream articles about cryptos, but so far, the SEO for the digital markets isn't exactly uber-popular. Your feedback will go a long way in convincing mainstream publications into jumping onboard!

And as always, thank you all very much, especially to my followers, for your kind support! :)
