You know when we say men and women are responsible for their own happiness, validation and feeling beautiful and good about themselves, it is true. However we cannot deny that being with the right person, who loves you, values you, is crazy about you and constantly telling you how lovely, special and capable you are, matters a whole lot. It does.

When you are dating or married to a person who is doing the opposite, it is only a matter of time before you start to believe it and live it out. Very few people can take that kind of verbal and emotional bashing and keep going and no one should have to. No one at all.

Understand this dear single, you are meant to be with someone who thinks the world of you. Nothing less than that is a good idea. Understand it and accept it, then expect it and anyone who won't do this is not to be trusted with your heart. Move on and find someone else. Don't take anything aside from this. Don't risk waking up every morning filled with regret, bitterness and anger over the choices you have made when you could have waited for someone better to come along.

Yes, people can change, but it starts with them wanting to and that can be a long, hard road. So why risk waiting for a change of heart from someone who may never do so or do it when you have missed a lot of chances, ruined a lot of relationships, job/career opportunities and even made horrible health, financial and other life choices all because someone kept feeding you a lie that you are useless?

Why risk that when from the start you could be with a good man or woman who takes one look at you and tells you that you rock their world and they love you with eery fibre of their being, would do anything for you and are always in your corner helping and supporting you the best way they can? Why settle for crumbs on the floor when you can have the bread on the table?
