steem.film On-boarding - Getting Ready!
We launched a trial balloon on what we thought should be the first step in building a community on steemit.com for 'for people involved in the process of making film' - build it around a new tag. It sounds simple, but it's really not.
One consideration was the expected release of the new Community Protocol's - there are others. So, we decided to reach out to people in the know and found that they believe the idea to be sound.
Therefore, we are now looking for ideas on an effective way of launching the new tag to the Steemit.com community including the means, the message and the follow-up. Any thoughts?

I would come up with a logo for the tag and get those involved in it to use it in their signatures on relevant posts.

As for your third pillar - a curation team that would likely evolve into community maintainers once steem.film is up and running - I discussed the idea with you in the comments of an earlier post. Preferably, the leader of the curation team will be someone with either knowledge of film or (better) some roots in the film community. Someone like me has very little knowledge of film and I'm sure it'll show. :)
Hopefully, your call will get such a person willing to head up curation. It's a job you should delegate, as it frees you up for your promotion work.
