I got up at 8:00 am when there was a powercut in the morning. This is the most irritating thing to me, especially if I get up like this after an immature sleep that night. But today I slept well, so no complaints.

After getting fresh and all the morning hygiene stuff done, I had lemon tea. Now today is also my mother's birthday, the 5th of September. Yes, coinciding with Teacher's Day obviously. This has always been a low-key celebration as we all like it that way.

So, I went to the town to get a hair cut while my father accompanied me to explore the Sunday market. We returned by 11:00 am. After taking shower I had tea and parantha. Then began the lunch preparations. We had goat meat on the menu. I was tasked to prepare it. And I don't shy away from such opportunities.

Around 2pm, lunch was ready. So we had lunch together. There was also a sabji prepared from fresh green pumpkin twigs and potato.

After lunch I had little rest and then sat down to watch England v India match, day 4. And to my surprise India pulled off yet another fantastic recovery thanks to lower order stability shown by Rishabh Pant, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav. piling up a target of 368 runs for England.

In between I watched Republic TV who are reporting the Taliban-Northern Alliance clashes from ground zero. In the evening, my father joined me as we watched together.

After having evening tea, I took to Steemit to engage with the BoI community. I read some interesting travel anecdotes by a few newcomers.

Dinner consisted of roti and dal as everybody was full from a hearty lunch. Then I posted a football article before going to bed.
