FOMO, You, and Initiative Q
If you have been browsing around Steemit or Discord lately, you have maybe seen something about a new thing called Initiative Q.
This is a quote from their FAQ:
Initiative Q is building the payment system of the future. The Q payment network will integrate the best technological improvements that have been made in the payment industry over the last few decades to create a flexible, easy-to-use and inexpensive payment network.
Usually when it comes to most things like this, I am pretty far behind the curve. A lot of times I am the last one to get the invite, so I in turn have no one that I can invite.
I do feel like I have gotten the jump on this one though and hopefully it actually turns into something. I know full well that there is a 98% chance it will amount to nothing. Do you really want to miss out on it if we are wrong though?
I am a cautious person, probably to a fault. I didn't go lightly into signing up for Initiative Q. It is by invite only by the way. I am going to share my invite link later in this post.
If you choose to use the link, I encourage you to use a separate email address from your main one to create the account. Please also use a unique password specific only to Initiative Q.
I will be honest, part of me wonders if this is just an elaborate scheme to gather mass amounts of email addresses so they can sell them to spammers.
Again, if I am wrong though and it becomes huge, I don't want to have missed out. If it helps alleviate your fears, I found this really good Quora question from someone who appears to have really done their research on Initiative Q. You can check it out here.
This was a great resource when I was trying to decide whether or not to sign up.
Now, without further ado, here is that link I promised you:
- Initiative Q is building a new payment network and giving away significant sums of their future currency to early adopters. It’s by invite only and I have a limited number of invites. My personal invite link: https://initiativeq.com/invite/HQINwmYQ7
The goal is for one 'Q' to be equal to one US dollar. Even if it only reaches half of that and you get no other people to join, you are still going to be pretty well off.
When you use that link, I will need to approve your signup. I will be checking frequently over the next week to make sure I don't forget anyone that has decided they don't want to miss out. Contact me on Discord(bozz) for confirmation.
Good luck and prosperity to you!

You already got me!
For sure! Thanks!
There is always some risk involved when joini g these airdrops. I definitely have a smaller problem with giving a site my email address than a crypto address.
And I joined some successful free airdrops in the past, so I didn't have to think twice before signing up :0)
Yes, I am not a fan of the ones where you need to give a wallet address. I was nervous enough giving my EOS info to vote.
Haha, same here.
On top of that, I forgot to register, so I had to go through the fallback process using the private keys of my ETH wallet. Pretty scary, I must admit...
Oh wow yeah. hopefully you got it sorted out. I know some people are still trying to get registered.
I jumped on the Iniative Q bandwagon a few days ago. Not much to do, which is nice, but I sure do hope they protect our email addresses.
I understand your concern, but I am also realizing taking risks can lead to rewards. Taking calculated risks helped mitigate the costs involved.
I don't disagree with you! I hope it turns out to be a good call. Worst case I need to create a new rule in my email to sift out the spam!
Yes, Bozz. I think that this was an easy one to try and give a shot too, I couldn't see a problem with it and the email, if it is sold, is easily sent to the blocked file. Hope this does pan out if so, it would be nice.
It really would!
@bozz, I do not understand anything written
YUP! I got in on the InitiativeQ sign up too. Curious about how it will go and after the whole byteballs fiasco with signups and the attestation issues I've had, the IQ was a breeze!
Awesome! Gald you got on board!
Just wanted to say that I was also pretty confident in signing up. You don't have anythng to lose by doing it ;) Thanks for giving me the link earlier @bozz
No problem! Thanks for signing up!
This seems like a really smart idea and a concept that could get some traction. After doing some reading, I had no issues signing up. It will only take one of these initiatives to hit and people will be smiling.
For sure! Fingers crossed on this one!
