A glimpse of Lizard
In Aceh, we call these cold-blooded reptiles called tarum. Some call it kadal or cicak (Malay). These animals fall into the category of reptiles that often bask in the sun. There are various lizards in my country, ranging from 20 centimeters to 3 meters. Most languages in the countries of the world call this animal a lizard. For us, there are some special mention for these types of lizards.
Like the photo I uploaded here, we call it tarum. As for the large size we call it meruwa alias monitor lizard.
Tarum often plays between green grass. We also often see these animals hiding in traditional Acehnese wells. Not infrequently, lizards also often enter the house to find food. In general, lizards are wild reptiles that play in the wild with a forked tongue resembling a snake.
Well, how do you name these reptiles in their respective countries?
Nyan emg tarum adun.
