2 Minutes with the Farmer: Money Grows on Trees!!!
Today on 2 Minutes with the Farmer we are picking walnuts. You have heard the old saying “money doesn’t grow on Trees” well here in Kentucky it does. It just takes a lot of work to get it. Every year during the walnut harvest we work really hard to make some extra money. We get $15 for every hundred pounds of shelled walnuts. Might not sound like a lot but it adds up and it is a great way to teach our kids the value of hard work.

Looks like a good harvest this year. Most of the walnut trees up this way didn’t bare fruit this year. The late frost is to blame I think.
