I know the following;

  • Crypto trading
  • Photographing
  • Fashion designing
  • Graphics Designing
  • Video Editing
  • Herbal mixing
  • Photo Editing
  • Basic electricals
  • Makeup
  • Cooking
  • Digital Marketing
  • Writing articles
  • Basic medical treatment
  • Physiotherapy
  • Baking
  • Marketing Strategies
  • Mentorship

All these learnt by one person and guess what? I learnt all these for free. How? Steemit oh. Steemit has taken places and have really enhanced my horizon. With Steemit, I'm the mobile photographer you can call to act as a substitute photographer for your events. But I'll be talking about the basic electricals which I learnt on steemit, a rare kind of skill nobody will teach you for free.

When I joined this platform, I had no interests in any of these things. It all started when I was this introverted person who joined steemit and started photographing. My journey in photography started from snapping pictures for diary game posts and that's how I became addicted to taking pictures and learnt mobile photography from a Steemian called @davidmarkgeorge. He was the one who built my passion in photography. He said you don't need to be extra before you deliver.

Just know how to fiddle your phone. You'll see features that can make one feel you're using a camera. He also showed me photo editing using my mobile phone. Like I said, I am a mobile photographer and I've been invited for several events to act as their substitute photographer. This is one of my side hustle which I learnt on steemit for free.

Here in Uyo, people barely value mobile photography thinking it's not compared to the camera used. Take a look at this. This is a picture taken with my phone and that of a camera. The difference is not big. Why I actually as a substitute photographer in events is that these photographers with cameras don't give out pictures that day whereas I can do so and a lot of people would want the couple's pictures to post that day.

I don't want to talk about the make-up aspect. Though I'm not taking it as a career but the steemit learning challenge helped me see the need to take care of my skin using good skin care products and also taught me basic makeup. I know very well how to apply concealer, where and when to apply foundation. I've practiced it though I still need constant practice. So I'm not new to this skill.

Video editing and graphics designing were taught and that's what I'm using to aid myself financially. I've collected contracts from different people to shoot and edit videos for brand promotions and the likes.

Learning Basic Electricals

The basic electricals I learnt on steemit was how to check if the voltage of light is good or bad as this can cause damage to one's device. This basic electrical is primarily used to correct little faults at home. I don't need to call an electrician if my socket spoils. Steemit taught me how to fix a socket from scratch. If you take a look at the video below, you'll notice that I'm using a multimeter to check the voltage of light.

It has readings on the body and once it comes in contact with the two red and black wires, it reads if there's current and shows if the current is good or bad. If a current is bad, it would read you to 350-400V. If a current is good and stable, it would read 210-240V.

If you're not benefiting from steemit except financially, try as much as possible to join the current steemit learning challenge and the one to come next.
