Today, I'm reviewing a beer called Organic Chocolate Stout from the brewery Samuel Smith. I love chocolate and I love stouts, hmm I should like this beer, right? Well, it remains to be seen.
Ingredients: water, organic malted barley, organic cane sugar, yeast, organic hops, organic cocoa extract, carbon dioxide.

Description of the beer:
"Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard water is drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic chocolate malt and organic cocoa impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish – this is the perfect marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate."

Appearance: black color with a medium beige head.
Smell: chocolate, roasted malt, sweet aroma.
Mouthfeel: medium/full body, soft carbonation.
Taste: chocolate, sweet as hell!

Oh man oh man, was I disappointed with this beer. It's very rare that I pour a beer down the sink, but this was one of those times! The beer was simply too sweet for my liking. Of course, this beer is meant to be sweet but it was just too much for me. It was like drinking a chocolate drink with a lot of sugar in it.
Verdict: My rating: 1.5 out of 5. If you like super sweet things, you might like this beer!

Thanks again!

I'm surprised, I actually like this beer, but the mood has to be right, it has to be cold and I'm looking for something more akin to a sipping spirit than a beer. But it's our differences that make us interesting. Hope your next beer is better.

I was surprised too that I didn't like it. Then I went to untappd.com and saw the ratings! :O
