Have a blessed day to all steemians out there especially to all newcomers in the community. Today I want to share my achievement 3 task by @cryptokannon which is the " Content Etiquette ". Let me allow to discuss the proof of brain concept, what is plagiarism, and the various types of plagiarism. What is my understanding that about the content etiquette of steemit?

" Proof of Brain " Concept

When I read the idea about Steem blue paper I understand that Steem will provide a scalable blockchain technique for publicly accessible and immutable content, along with a fast and fee-less digital token called STEEM which encourages people to earn a cryptocurrency by using their brain what can be called “Proof-of-Brain”. It positions STEEM as equipment for building permanently growing communities, which encourage
their members to add importance to the community through the built-in rewards structure. Source

What is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism is bringing or using others' work and ideas without crediting the content to the owner. It is also a manifestation of the author's ideas, thoughts, and language as our original works.
According to English Dictionary, plagiarism is the exercise of putting up with someone else to work or ideas and passing them off as one's concept or ideas.
Setting up with somebody else's work and introducing it as completely your own.
Indeed, Plagiarism is stealing one's ideas and work from others without asking permission from the owner or without giving a credit to the owner.

What are the different types of plagiarism?

There are different types of plagiarism but we must name the most popular plagiarism in social media.

  • Direct plagiarism
  • Self-plagiarism
  • Mosaic plagiarism
  • Accidental plagiarism

What is Direct plagiarism?

In this type of plagiarism, we are copying the content word-for-word of other works. We copy all the content of their post and their ideas.

What is Self Plagiarism?
This occurs when you have already introduced your works to the admin or the professor and someone will reuse your work without the permission of the professor. This may be considered also self-plagiarism.

What is Mosaic Plagiarism?

It occurs when a beginner borrows phrases from a source without using citation marks. Or even finds synonyms for the author's language but maintains the same general arrangement and meaning of the content.

What is Accidental Plagiarism?

This will occurs when you fail to cite their sources. Unintended paraphrasing or grouping of words that match some other source may also fall under this plagiarism. Cases of accidental plagiarism are taken as seriously as any other plagiarism.

Significances of plagiarism

Plagiarism is considered a crime that we commit by using or stealing someone's work.
If you plagiarize some works, there a probability that you destroy your reputation as a unique author. It provides you low rates or rewards and maybe they will downvote your content in the community.

How to Avoid Plagiarism

We require to use our own captured mages in making quality content post and write our idea and knowledge for every topic we have to share on the steemit platform. If ever we need an image that is coming from the internet, we must put an image source or content source of our post.
But we can also use the free images that some websites provided us for free. This is the link that we can use free images

When we are in the steemit platform we must know that there are many do and don'ts on platforms. As I read the steemit Etiquette I understand that we have a big part in the community. We are not just making our content but also having a part of it. We must be good curators in others' work and do commenting other user content. Source

"I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them"
