Wednesdaywalk: Walking in Kazan - Millennium Bridge Walk

in OCD4 years ago

This is my entry for the @tattoodjay's Wednesday walk challenge.

This time I want to continue the story of my night walk in Kazan.

In my last story, I ended up on how, after the event, my colleagues and I went on a night walk to our hotel. We walked through the surrounding area, where there were hotels, entertainment venues and even a Ferris wheel.

After that, we went to the bridge, on the left and right of which was the Kazanka river. And on the banks of the river were many interesting objects. The view from the bridge was excellent.

The first on our way was the Ak Bars Martial Arts Palace. In 2013, the Universiade was held in Kazan and this palace was one of the main sports facilities.

On the other side of the bridge was a large lake formed by the Kazanka River. They were reflected in the night city in the lake and it looked very beautiful.

In the distance, on the left bank of the lake, the famous Kazan Kremlin stood on a hill. It was perfectly visible from such a great distance.

And my colleagues and I moved further along the bridge, farther and farther away from the starting point of our walk. Cars flashed past. It was pretty noisy.

Another look at the other side of the lake.

And now it's time to talk about the bridge itself. This cable-stayed bridge is called the Millennium Bridge. Because it was built by the year 2000. In connection with the name of the bridge, the pylons holding the bridge are constructed in the form of the letter M.

Pylons look very interesting in closeup.

And so they look from a short distance. It should be noted that this letter M is clearly visible from various points around the Kazanka River. Including it was clearly visible from our hotel, so we easily found the way across the bridge to our hotel.

Imagine the total length of the bridge crossing is 1524 meters. We have already passed the pylons and there is still such a great distance ahead of us ...

On the right side of the bridge was a residential area.

We walked long enough, but inexorably approached our hotel.

And eventually came to the hotel. The hotel was very beautiful, here we were greeted by bright color illumination.

But about the hotel itself I will tell you next time. See you next Wednesday!
