ColorChallenge: WednesdayYellow - Dandelion field
Here is my submission for colorchallenge of Tuesday.
Color Challenge by @kalemandra.
Today is a yellow day. And I just recently started testing a new lens photographed, all the familiar yellow dandelions. Dandelion field, as well as Dandelion officinalis, or Dandelion field, or Dandelion Pharmacy, or Dandelion Ordinary (Latin Taráxacum officinále) (source).Today I learned that this flower is a plant used for medicinal purposes. The healing properties are listed in wikipedia.
I used to hear only that they are supposed to make a salad of dandelions.

Truly beautiful photographs. Love the different points of focus and depth of field. Looks like a great lens.
We have lots of dandelion plants in our backyard. Deliberately cultivate them. The leaves are bitter, but quite edible when finely chopped into salad greens. Best nutritional value is in the new Spring leaves. The roots are roasted to make a coffee substitute ~ Which as well as tasting great are highly beneficial for the liver. 🌿🌻🌿
Thank you! I just started taking pictures with the new lens, but it seems to me that this is indeed the real thing.
I never ate dandelions. In my region there is no such custom 8)
You'll have to start a new custom. You could just slightly steam them too ~ Like beet leaves. 🌿💚🌿
I'll tell it to my wife. May be sometime she will do it 8)
