"Crispy Osyter Mushroom"
To win my daugther's heart is through her stomach. Ha ha!
If you still remember on my introductory post, cooking is one of my favorite things to do and I love to experiment different cuisine and presented it in a creative way to be more palatable for my daugther's picky buds.
I am not a culinary expert nor a chef, but everytime I ate in a resto my mind automatically think on what ingredients are combined in the food that I'm eating.
When I get home, I try to make it in my own version with a twist.
So, let me share you this Crispy Oyster Mushroom.
Here are the INGREDIENTS:
- 200 grams fresh organic oyster mushroom
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves
- 1/2 tsp powdered garlic
- 1/4 tsp chili flakes
- ground black pepper (amount depends on your preference)
- salt to taste
- 250 ml oil
PROCEDURE:
- Wash the mushroom with water, cut into half or depends on the size of your choice.
- Beat the egg in a bowl. Set aside.
- Combine the flour, dried oregano leaves, garlic powder, chili flakes, black ground pepper and salt to taste, mix it well.
- Put the oil into the caserole and bring to boil.
- While waiting for the oil to reach the boiling point,
dip each piece of cut mushroom into the egg and roll it in the powder mixture. - Then, deep fry in the boiling oil.
- When it turns brown and crispy, remove from oil.
Let it cool a bit, you don't want to get your tongue burned. - Lastly, don't forget to grab your camera and do your artistic plating.
Presto! Your social media accounts are waiting for the photo to be uploaded. Haha! 😂
This recipe is best as appetizer or snacks while movie marathon at home or during your online stuff like steeming. 😄
Ow by the way if you're wondering how does it tastes, it is similar to crispy fried chicken skin.
