Park-Food
I'm away from home for more than a month. The few who read my posts (all of them special colleagues - thank them once again) know that I am on a trip to the beautiful city of Iasi in northern Romania.
I usually love to buy food ingredients from the market. Now, when I'm not home, combine this pleasure with the pleasure of looking for ready-made food.
Sometimes surprise comes, of course, where you least expect it.
A beautiful walk with the Botanical Garden destination in Iasi led us to a small ready-made food market. In fact a street food that turns into a park food.
What do you get from the calm and cool of the park to...?
... agitation close to eating, close to all culinary temptations?
Of course you are taking a walk to know the place and offer. So I did and I would show you the offer!
First I guided after people's eyes...
This first stand was dedicated to grilled meats.
All kinds of salads, pickles and garments.
Beverages ... beer, wine, tuica (a kind of Romanian vodka)
Today no meat! Let's see the next offer ...
I can say ... delicacies! That's what I'm talking about: shells, shrimps, crayfish.
Let's look a little closer...
Here's my heart left ... I'm wrong, my stomach!
I also saw sweets, of course. Turkish sweets are famous! Yet the people prefers salty food.
Others prefer pretzels, boiled corn or popcorn.
For the children...
... and not only!
At the end of food, for siesta and a little relaxation ... a Turkish coffee. This gentleman makes coffee in the trunk of his car.
Some even don't want to eat and then they can buy souvenirs, folk art and traditional shirts.
A very nice place to spend a few hours. Few rest after such agitation. An ingenious bank ... I do not think it's good to lose something from your pocket!
I have admired the flowers around the trees and the characters from a well-known Romanian story - The Three-Goatling Goat!
A wooden sculpture tells us it's time to go home. We leave the Botanical Garden for another date.
That was #marketfriday this week. All my posts on this topic end with a recipe and a detailed presentation of how to cook.
This time I will break the tradition. For many reasons I will not present the recipe of the day. Maybe next time. Thank you!

Hi @bluemoon, I'm @checky ! While checking the mentions made in this post I noticed that @marketfriday doesn't exist on Steem. Maybe you made a typo ?

Hi, Dan! That was wonderful! I actually love street food, especially in the cities. They have gotten it down to a science and some of it rivals some of the restaurants. Or perhaps that is my taste buds shifting?
This was a wonderful stroll through the botanical gardens that day! I love the details of your walks or meandering through a place. They have so many pictures showing what you are seeing and describing it so that I feel like I am walking right there aside of you. Thank you so much for that and for taking the time and patience to write it all out like this.
You really have taken a forward jump in your formatting and in your editing/taking pictures. I am going to have to run to catch up with you!
The food looks great, and there are plenty of trucks to choose from. I am thinking I might have gone with the popcorn. I love the salty taste of it. LOL Ice cream is great and if it was hot, perhaps I might have gone that way! Honestly, I will miss your recipe, but, life happens and I look forward to the next time one is posted! Until then, I hope you have a wonderful stay and I know it will be soon you will be going home!
Thank you for your wonderful participation!
Upped and Steemed. Tip!
Yes, tomorrow morning I will go home. Hey, Denise, you're modest. You cannot compare the value of your posts with mine. Let me tell you ... lately I've seen many posts in Steemit ... yours are a reference. We should learn from them.
About my posts, I chose this cinematic style ... to help with photos to exemplify the action, the happening.
It's more dynamic and more ... easy.
I'm sorry you miss my recipe...I thought about you when I chose not to put it.
Lately, it was a bit weird, I did a little while ago, I made a post I dedicated to you. Unfortunately, you have not seen it. That's why I'm telling you about it. Please forgive me that I announce you this way... Beautiful Day, Long Day of Sunday (second addition) - Eminescu's Linden Tree!!
No forgiveness needed! I was knee deep in my personal things and didn't see much of what was happening on here! I was very touched by the idea and rather than read all of the ones I missed, I had upvoted and read the first two a couple of days ago, which is why I missed it. Had I gone through my ginabot to see the things being voted, mentioned etc.. There were already over 400, so I opted to skip it for the moment.
In actuality, Dan. your posts are frequently better than mine, especially as of late. Everything I have learned, @old-guy-[hotos has been patient enough to teach me.
I certainly will take the time to look at the post now, because I am touched that anyone would dedicate anything to me and because I really want to see it! ;)
Thank you in advance, Dan!
Thanks! I don't want to prolong a dispute ... I'm flattered to consider my posts better than others ... you're very nice ... but it's not true. I work a lot when I do it mostly because of English, I'm afraid of destructive mistakes ... that's why I cannot compare myself to an English or American native or someone who masters English well. Thank you for appreciating my effort, I'm doing it to keep me close to you!
The post I'm talking about is about the greatest Romanian poet. Romantic! I love him!
You are a poet, I can not understand poetry in English ... I wanted to show you how poetry was in Romania now a hundred and fifty years ago ...
Oh! I did go over and was simply delighted by it! Steem is not behaving so it has deleted the comment I put here. But, it was mostly to say that I think you could understand the poetry because it is so very similar to what was posted! Honest!
One day or a hundred years, people in love still think alike!
Thanks Denise, I'm glad you read and liked old poetry. I got home...
Glad to hear you got home! Home, sweet home!
Home, sweet home! Always... Thank you! I have to get used.
happy weekend @bluemoon
Happy weekent to you too! Thanks.
I could not go and not eat..it all looks so good!! Looks like there is a bit of everything there! Great post and photos @bluemoon!!
Thank you very much!
You're very welcome @bluemoon!!
