Web Standards-The Basics of HTML
In Web Standards Chapter 1 sets out to inform us:
- What is the World Wide Web
- How does the Web work
- What is HTML
- What is the bas syntax of HTML
The scheme of the World Wide Web is to attach a worldwide network of computers. The scheme is known as TCP/IP . In other words our IP addresses allow us to communicate with other IP addresses. The internet is what connects the World Wide Web together. The browser is what we use to seek the information we wish to view and/or hear. HTML was an easy means to format textual documents.
HTML is based on individual, nested, children tags made up of special text strings that are interpreted as formatting commands by the browser.
Each tag ends and begins with a left and right- pointed angle bracket (<), (>). In good practice always close a tag in the exact opposite order they were open.
