48 Laws of Power
I will take you on a journey with a skillful writer. His name is Robert Greene. He is a great story-teller and a lot of times the stories he tell happened in the past. That to me also makes him a historian. In this book called 48 Laws of Power first published in the United States of America by Viking Penquin, a member of Penquin Putnam Inc. 1998 we will learn his 48 laws of power.
Why was this book written? Who was it written for? How does it pertain to me as an individual? These are some of the questions we will seek to find answers to as we learn the 48 laws. In the end hopefully we will understand it better and how to apply it when necessary in our daily lives.
I must also thank my dear friend Michiel Schwarz who was responsible for involving me in the art school Fabrika in Italy and introducing me there to Joost Elffers, my partner and producer of The 48 Laws of Power. It was in the scheming world of Fabrika that Joost and I saw the timeless-ness of Machiavelli and from our discussions in Venice, Italy, this book was born. ~Robert Greene
This book presumes that it is human nature to not want to be powerless. If you are powerless than you are helpless. People tend to want to be affiliated with people in power. The author stated that the better you are at dealing with power, the better you will be socially.
Some emotions when are not in control such as love and anger can cause more harm than good when dealing with people. This book will give insight to such events through stories and/or scenarios.
Deception and patience is our armour and shield moving forward into learning the different laws of power. Power is a social game claims Robert Greene. Are you ready to play? Time is of the essence and every decision you make is a part of the game rather you act or choose not to act.
This book will teach you how to begin your study into human activities; socially.
