Greetings to everyone present in this great community and believe we all are doing so great today. I will be participating in the contest that has been organized in this community by @goodybest and which has been title the school life I prefer. so today I will briefly talk about the school life I prefer and I hope you enjoy reading my article.
ABOUT MY HIGH SCHOOL LIFE
My high school life was fun in fact it was more like I should never have left that stage of life. going to school with a particular dress called school Informing in which all student in the school are expected to wear same type of cloth to school and also taking more than twelve books to school for different subjects, a particular time where I was caught and dealt with for coming late to school, getting angry at my class monitor for writing my name among the noise makers in class. those times were wonderful and worth talking about.
Then we get almost everything we wanted, we played and had so much fun back in those days. we had different personalities in school, the noise makers, the serious students, the back benchers, the school clowns, the school bullies and both the introverts and extroverts in class. It was a moment when we had no issue in life thinking that everything is just perfect and our future is secured so well. those were the times when we were never bothered because everything we ever needed has been provided for us.
Those were the times which we see school as fun, often I like it when it is Monday because I get to see my friends and we get to play and discuss about our weekend and what we did during the weekend. so back in my high school days school was fun and the life back then was simple. no pressure, no stress, go to school by 7:am and return by 2:pm was the daily routine of our lives. so it was fun I tell you.
ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE
College life was fun but quite different from high school life in the sense that during my college, everyone was so serious with school and no body have time for much fun. it was kind of a competition in which we were just trying to come out with good grades and make our family proud. it was in college I figured out that adulthood is something else. in college you get threatened by issues of life most especially in your academics. you do not get to do certain things because you need to be serious lest you will be tagged unserious.
College life was so stressful that you have no much intervals to read during exams and also each day one can be writing close to three papers. so the fear of not passing an examination was something to take note about and that has been my worse nightmare. no one wants to be left behind and as such I had to double my seriousness in other to also stand out like the best students in college.
Plus in college, you get to stay on your own especially when you are staying in the hostel. I often get little money for sustainability in school and this money do not often cross Wednesday because the bills is often much on me. When I was with my parent as a girl child that was still in school, the money I get do not always meet my need but I have no choice than to manage and that was how I kept on with everything up to the day I signed out from college and that day was the greatest day of my life as though college life was never easy for me.
WHAT I LIKE AND HATE ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL LIFE
There are a lot of things I like so much about high school life and just a few things I hate but because of time, I will be brief in outlining them below.

| - One of the things I like about high school life is that one gets to mingle with almost everyone in class as though we were yet to develop the mindset of who to like and who not to like | - One of the things I hate in high school is the concept for beating students as if they are beast of burden. |
| - The concept of both long and short break in school is also one thing I like about high school. it helps students not to be weak and give the brain sometime to rest. | - The idea of school uniform. the idea is not okay for me at all. we should upgrade in that aspect, just take a look at other countries how their high schools is organized. |
| - Another thing I like so well in high school is the idea of assigning portfolios to certain students which is known as prefects. they look after the activities of the students and make sure the lesser students behave themselves in a well mannered situation. | - In high school there are many subject that students offer and this should not be so. the education system is expected to be flexible and not rigid, for a child to be offering many subject is quite much at that level. |
THING I LIKE AND HATE ABOUT COLLEGE LIFE
The basic things are like about college life and the ones I also hate are also seen below.

| - The idea of coming to class without uniforms, this is a brilliant idea and it helps to cover one's secrete about the school a person is attending. and with this, everyone is at liberty to put on whatsoever one wishes. | - The idea of fixed lectures is indeed an eye-soar. if there is anything I hate is this, a lecturer do not care about the students but his or her self. the conveniences of the students are not taken into consideration and as such they must come or else they face the consequences. |
| - Another thing I like about college life is that, sometimes one get to be free about one or two day in a week due to it might be a lecture free day and as such one gets to rest and prepare for the forth coming lectures. | - One thing I dislike about college life is the issue of spill over. it is so bad to see your mates are graduating while you remain in college because of a course you failed. that is a total turn down for me when talking about college life. |
| - The concept of staying alone in either hostel or off campus is great because with that one gets to know more about what life is talking about. you get to stay with new people and you get to learn things from people too. | - In college most times one get to receive lectures on Saturday which may turn out to be the only day you get to rest in the week after much stress from the past week, so that I dislike so well. |
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED IN HIGH SCHOOL LIFE AND HOW IT HAS IMPACTED ME
High school life taught me many thing, I learned how to be free with people, how to care for others and how to get others back in times of trouble. I could remember when a class mate of mine came to class late and a teacher was already in the class, and once this teacher comes in no one get to attend the class whenever a student comes late and this boy often come late to class because his house was far but that day the teacher was facing the board and the boy entered the class. so the teacher asked who entered the class and non of us spoke, that was how the issue slide.
So I have learned to be my brother's keeper just by that act and to also care for those in need. it has impacted me so much that I get to help my mates in the exam hall, for the fact that it is an examination, I my best to see that we al come out in flying colors. so I learned much back then in high school.
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED IN COLLEGE AND HOW IT HAS IMPACTED ME
College helped me to be what I am today. it was through college I became a teacher today. without college I would not be a professional teacher and again college has helped me to build and keep relationship with friends and families, In college we did group assignment and that has been helping me to work with people for the growth of a particular association.
College life helped my reasoning skills and made me matured enough to be the woman I am today. college life is indeed an eye opener and as such I have met people and also communicate with various people in the country. the life helped me to stand for myself and be my own boss. it helped me to fend for myself and be independent. no doubt college life is a life changer, with college life I no longer take decisions from people rather I make my own decisions. so you see it has really impacted my life a lot and that is the knowledge I am passing to my pupils in school too.
WHICH LIFE DO YOU PREFER
Well I cant place my finger on the life I prefer because the both lives are important and that is why we have the transition stage from childhood to adulthood. it is indeed a process but then If I am left with no choice than to choose, I will go for the high school life where everyone is happy, no one is taking anything that serious, where no students is faced with the issues of life. the only problem we had then was to come back from school with launch not yet ready, that is the only problem we had during those days.
CONCLUSION
Talking about the old school days has been fun and self expressing. indeed the both school lives was interesting look back at all of it. we had fun while it lasted and here we are toady with the knowledge gathered from each school life. Hahaha 🤣🤣🤣 I recalled how we used to quarrel my lovely momma 😍 if we came back from school and there's no lunch. My mom will sent us to market to buy some food stuffs chai we will 😭😭😢 hahaha. continue to be active in our community we appreciate you 💕 I wish you success in this contest!
