Waking Up With a Bang

Let me just say one thing real quick... HOLY SHIT!!!

Minutes ago, I was actually sleeping on my couch. Real actual sleep which is something the night really hadn’t afforded me. My pup Bindi has a really rough and whiney night and wouldn’t pass out. I finally knocked her out at 2:34 am but she was up again at 5:30...so I got less than 3 hours sleep. I stayed up chatting with the wife as she was getting ready for work and got Bindi to pass out again as my wife was leaving for the day.

Perfect opportunity to possibly sneak in a bit of rest while listening for Bindi on the couch. I was probably asleep for no more than 20-30 minutes before I heard a loud and thunderous crash from the kitchen which scared the shit out of me.

As I dash quietly to the next room, I’m curious as to what it could be. That’s when I come upon two of the cats sniffing out the shattered pots housing the no so indestructible after all mini plants that my wife loved. They are easy to care for and she doesn’t have huge success with plants in general, so these were her way of having a green thumb and feeling like a god damned champion.

I’m not sure exactly what happened. They sat on a little suction cup platform that stuck to the window. I’m wondering if the suction just gave out? Did the sleep gods just want to poke at me more? Did one of the cats fuck with it? They never have before so why start now. Who knows?!! What I do know is now Bindi is up from the clash so I am going to have to start my day. No seepies for me. 😞

So I’ll just sweep this area for now as the kids are sleeping and I don’t want to wake them with the vacuum. Then I’ll try to salvage the couple of survivors while laying those that got broken and perished...to rest.
