Hot Tips ~ Cheap Ass Spidey Edition

This one will not make ya rich. Not at all. But it will put some extra bucks in your pocket for such a low buy in, that it’ll make your head spin!

About a month or so back, Kellogg’s...maker of a gazillion breakfast cereal’s...teamed up with Marvel for a promotional Spider-Man Comic Book to help promote the new Spidey film Far From Home. I believe the initial deal was supposed to be that you buy some cereal...you get a comic book. Simple deal.

This deal was only to be held at one specific chain of stores...the place everyone goes to buy their cereal apparently...I’m talking about Dollar General. Not Family Dollar, or the .99 cent store, or any of the other shitty lower tier store just like this...strictly Dollar General.

In fairness, I find myself frequenting my local Dollar General at least once a week. I get price stickers for the shop there and I always end up getting suckered into 8 other things while in there. Pretty convenient in all honesty.

Regardless, it seems as if they have a gazillion of these shitty Spidey Comics left over and are now just selling them fir the low low price of .02 cents each. For that...I can’t pass these fuckers up.

I’ll preface this by saying once again that these will never be worth anything over a few bucks each. These types of promotions have been done with comics before with Aim Toothpaste, Radio Shack, and tone of other examples that I’m too lazy to currently look up. They all sell for $5-$10 bucks tops. I’d expect this to be in that same realm down the road.

Currently they are fetching anywhere between $1-$5 bucks a pop. Seems lots of folks are listing them in lots of 5 or 10. Once again, not gonna get ya rich at all...in my opinion, these are more of a slow grind. List em for $5 bucks each and slowly sell them over time. Or find a chunk of em and move em in one or two batches...make $40 bucks and move onto the next thing. I’ll go the slow and steady route as I sell shit already anyway.

I only checked my local store as I haven’t had much time recently to do much of anything else besides work and cry, but I did snag the rest that they had. 52 copies at .02 cents a piece for a total of $1.04...plus my Mexican Coke...and tax.

I’ll sell one of these and be up with the rest being $5 dollar bills sprinkled in every now and then.
