Belgian Liege Waffles!!! Ever since my wife and I visited Europe, I’ve been obsessed ...

... with the waffles from there. I remember roaming the streets of Bruges and just relishing in the sweet aroma of the streets from the various eateries service up authentic delicious Belgian Liege Waffles. Not the garbage we get over here in the states, but the real deal with chunks of carmelized pearl sugar. Also, it’s a dough...not a batter as we are so used to here in the states. So obsessed I was that upon returning, I bought a kickass waffle maker and have been toying with different recipes to find the perfect blend. I’m still tweaking. In this batch, I’m using real Vanilla extract from Mexico and some Cinnamon. I bought some fresh berries and heavy cream to make it as authentic as possible. The kids are stoked as am I. It’s been a while since I’ve toyed around with these so I’m eager to see how they turn out. Well, the yeast mix is ready to mix in so I’m going to get back to it. Wish me luck...and if you haven’t had these before...seriously check em out. You will never look at “Waffles” the same again.
