One of my favorite books of the bible is the book of proverbs.

This book shows us so much wisdom, and advice for everyday life... The whole Bible is, but in proverbs you can get advice absolutely from everything that happens in the daily life of each of us.

Today reading proverbs, I read a verse that talks about the strife, and I became interested in looking for more verses on this topic.

For many it is pleasant to generate strife, I know people who wherever they go, like to encourage fights and quarrels. They seem to be uncomfortable being in a place where there is peace. I don't know if you will meet people like that ... I can assure you that they are really exhausting people.

Do you like strife or contribute to them?

The word of God confirms that the people who quarrel lack wisdom and are superb people.

Proverbs 13:10.

10 Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice.

A pride person is the one who believes he is absolutely right in everything, does not admit advice and believes himself more than others. I had a very pride boss, the relationship with this man was really stressful, the work environment became very hostile in the period we had this boss.

These people do not accept that their attitude can be exhausting and that they do not like their actions and their treatment of others.

Another feature that shows us the bible of people who enjoy strife, is that they are fools.

Proverbs 20: 3.

It is to one’s honor to avoid strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel.

A foolish person is immature, reckless and lacks intelligence, that is why they enjoy the strife, they are not quick to solve problems but they enjoy making the situation worse.

Finally, I could confirm that quarrelsome people are gossipy.

Proverbs 26: 20-21.

20 Without wood a fire goes out;
without a gossip a quarrel dies down.
21 As charcoal to embers and as wood to fire,
so is a quarrelsome person for kindling strife.

It is not a secret, that where there is gossip there is quarrel, and of course, the gossip enjoys the strife. If he don't enjoy it, don't spread his words to light the fire. A gossip alters the reality of events, generally gossip people, add much more when they give their version of what they tell.

In short, all this is a sign that the people who enjoy the quarrels or strife they allow themselves to be led by the enemy to take away peace wherever they are.

Proverbs 22:10.

10 Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife;
quarrels and insults are ended.

Let us not allow the enemy to use us as a tool for quarrels, when you see that you are in a place and instead of providing a solution, you are generating strife, it is better to shut up and pray, shut up and ask for wisdom from God to solve the problem instead to make not it worse. This way we will drive the enemy out of our way.

Many times it has happened to me with my husband, when we have some discussion, I prefer to shut up, and although my husband is upset because I shut up, I pray in my mind for God to direct my words and we can reach some agreement and then I see God Work and solve everything. Remember that God calls us to be peacemakers.
