Siamotif Boutique Hotel.
Located across the river from Bangkok in what was once the former capital, is Thonburi district. This fascinating neighbourhood is filled with history; temples, criss-crossing canals, and traditional houses.
Siamotif
Nestled among the narrow pathways and fronting the Bangkok Noi Canal, is a property that was gifted to the previous owner by a Thai King for a lifetime of Service. The origonal house is almost 100 years old, and has been added to with a further 2 structures, and now serves as a boutique guesthouse. Instead of fighting the maddening New Year's traffic out of Bangkok, my wife and I decided to have a staycation here, and explore the old part of town. What a great decision it turned out to be.
THE HOUSE
THE BEDROOMS
There are only 8 rooms at the resort, and each one is different. We were lucky enough to be able to try out 2 of the rooms. The new Celadon room on the river, and the beautiful Flowery Room which is part of the old house.

The hotel is run by a lovely family who own the house and they really make you feel welcome. We even sat around playing guitar and playing Bingo with them one evening. In the daytime we got a chance to explore some of the local sights and try some food, and in the evening we went to see the River Boats.
Accommodation here runs at about US$100 per night and this includes a delicious breakfast. I can highly recommend a short stay at this delightful hotel.

Very cool vintage place! I like much! (;
