How XAPO stole my bitcoin address.

Discontinue using XAPO before you lose access to your account too!

How did this happen?

As a budding bitcoin enthusiast a few years back, I decided to make XAPO the primary wallet for our faucet referral commissions. I started by making a faucet rotator site at HundredAkerWood.com which admittedly is in need of an update now. and then started building my own faucets to share help bring new users into the community, I invested ad revenues from our faucets into HashOcean and other cloud mining sites, making a small profit to pay for our hosting and providing increasing payouts to our users.

With the recent disappearance of HashOcean, our daily referral commisions and advertising were barelyu enough to pay our users. I decided to purchase a silverfish Scrypt miner to continue being part of the mining community and sharing with others. I haven't said much about XAPO yet, well for almost 2 full years their service was fine, then when I consolidated funds to buy my silverfish miner a few weeks ago, they decided to a manual review of my account. No big deal I though...

I sent in a copy of my license, and a letter from the Social Security administration as proof of address and followed up with an email explaining that I could not provide a bill in my name as I live with my partner Sarah, and our bills are in her name.

After 11 days with no response, and unable to access my account, I get an email that my account is being closed!

Upon additional review of your account application, we were unable to verify the information you provided.

What's that about? I emailed back, I asked what additional information I could provide, or alternatively, for the private key so I could use my wallet address. Meanwhile I keep getting my daily email notifications that faucet payouts were sent to this address... While I'm not getting rich by any means, $1 or two consistently lost will add up to big changes, two years of referrals STOLEN

Sorry, but we do not give any private keys out! I am also the senior employee, so you will not be receiving a different response regarding this issue. You need to change the address for those faucets as you cannot use that address anymore.

What a load of crap, how many users have we referred to this service? How much will they lose?!
I'm usually quiet and deal with losses as a mistake to be learned from, but I did nothing wrong here!
