## **Hello Steemians! What’s up?**
Hello everyone!
My name is Danielle. I am Brazilian live in a city in the South of Brazil.
I am a biologist but since last year I have been working as a freelance translator (English to Brazilian Portuguese) and also performing other small online jobs with the intention of being able to control my time and achieve my dream of traveling.
How I found Steemit?
I was on YouTube watching videos of different themes when I came across the @rhavi channel (In Portuguese), I saw all his videos about Steemit and I just loved the proposal that this community presents to us.
Why did I decide to join Steemit?
After watching the videos, reading the posts and the instructions of the FAQ, I realized that Stemmet is a great social network to share my ideas. I'm addicted to series and this seems to me to be a great community to share my opinions about the shows I watch and about other subjects too.
My idea is to share with you my opinions, points of view and experiences, (with some researches or not) in a casual way as if I had been telling a friend. Hope you like it.
I will try to create my content in English and Portuguese.
I love the beach, so I say goodbye to this beautiful image of the Sunrise in Guaratuba’s beach (South of Brazil, Paraná’s state).
I’m glad to start my participation in this community.

Sou bióloga mas desse o ano passado, trabalho como tradutora freelancer (inglês para português) e também faço outros pequenos trabalhos online com a intenção de poder controlar meu tempo e realizar meu sonho de viajar.
Como eu encontrei Steemit?
Eu estava no Youtube assistindo vídeos de temas diversos quando me deparei com o canal do @rhavi. Vi todos os seus vídeos sobre o steemit e adorei a proposta que esta comunidade nos apresenta.
Por que decidi participar do Steemit?
Depois de assistir os vídeos, ler os posts e as instruções do FAQ, percebi que o Steemit é uma ótima rede social seria para compartilhar minhas idéias. Eu sou viciada em séries e essa parece ser uma grande comunidade para compartilhar minhas opiniões sobre as séries que assisto entre outros assuntos.
A ideia é compartilhar com vocês minhas opiniões, pontos de vista e experiências (com algumas pesquisas ou não) de uma maneira descontraída, como se eu estivesse contando a um amigo. Espero que vocês gostem.
Vou tentar criar meu conteúdo em inglês e português.
Amo praia então me despeço com esse linda imagem do nascer do sol na praia de Guaratuba (Litoral do Paraná), postad acima.
Fico feliz em iniciar minha participação nesta comunidade.

You'll find that Steemit is not so much a social network as a community of writers / bloggers with an incredibly broad range of interests.
Also, I'm glad to see that you've started off with a bilingual post. A few Steemers make all their posts bilingual, and it's a great way to double your exposure and grow your audience.
Below are a few basic points of advice re posting on Steemit.
1 – Longer posts are more lucrative than short posts. If you make a post of 20–30 paragraphs, it's more likely to earn rewards.
2 – Include some photos, images or graphs, to complement the text.
3 – Make sure the text and photos are formatted properly, so that your post looks attractive and appealing.
4 – Be yourself.
5 – Be interesting and informative.
6 – Create quality content. Steemit is intended to be a platform of quality content. (You will see many insignificant posts with meager content and no quality. Most of those of posts [called “shitposts” by Steemit whale Stellabelle] will earn few rewards and soon pass into oblivion.)
7 – Get online and start curating. Read various posts, comment on those posts you find interesting, and upvote those posts. That’s the best way to attract followers.
