First real horse training.

It was weekend at last and Luan was very happy as he could go horse riding for the second time. 

He told Jared about it and said when he gets back; they can go to the forest if Jared felt like it, but because Jared’s father was home and still fixing things up Jared stayed to help his father. 

He could not believe how nice it was going to see his father every day and not have to stay alone anymore especially at night.

His father suddenly realised how lonely Jared must have been and was just as happy. 

Luan had his breakfast put all his riding gear into his bicycle and went off to take his riding lesson.

He first stood there, just watching the horses as they were very beautiful to him. He never realised that a horse could be such a good friend. 

The horse that he rode on the first time was the same horse they had let him sit on the first time and he found out the name of the horse was Wonderboy, as he really had a name that fit his personality. 

He loved children and he was very gentle when it came to beginners.

Luan was so pleased and he rubbed his back a bit before they made him put the saddle on him. 

The horse seemed to watch him and knew that Luan was a bit nervous. After they showed him a few times how to put the saddle on and get onto the horse, he could do it all by himself. 

He felt very pleased with himself and proud that he could get it the way they taught him. The trainer never left him alone and he just stood there watching him and praising him for what he had already learnt.

The trainer took the horse  and started walking with it in a circle again. He then asked Luan if he felt like a gallop just here in the circle to get the feeling.  

Luan said yes, and the trainer showed him how to move in every gallop so that it was much easier. He did this for about half an hour and said, I think this is enough for today. 

Now you can take your horse, take the saddle off and brush him the way I showed you the first time as the horse was sweating.

Luan did everything the way they showed him, and then thanked the horse with a little rub and he thanked the trainer for everything he had learnt that day. 

After Luan had packed up all his things he went to see Jared as he had to pass his house. Jared’s father gave them some cool drink and he asked how it went with the horse riding.

It was wonderful, it was a birthday gift from my grandfather and he will probably phone later to hear how it went. 

Luan then went home, as Jared said he was going to stay with his father and help a little in the garden. 

He would see him at church tomorrow, and then they might go to the forest. 

Luan said no problem, I have some stuff that I also have to go and do for my mom, and my father is playing golf so she is also alone. 

I think we can go tomorrow and we will have more time then. Luan thanked them for the cool drink, and left for home to help his mother. 

She was so glad to see him; she did not want to tell him how worried she still was about the riding on his own on the bicycle but, she was. So she was really glad when he got home. How was the horse riding love she asked and he told her how he practised and even had a little gallop on the horse, and the horse was named Wonderboy as he loved children very much. 

She was pleased as she knew when the baby came, he would get less attention and at least he will have something he enjoyed to keep him busy. A little later Luan’s father came home, and Luan told him all he had told his mother all over again. 

I am so glad you like it Luan, just do not forget we must fit some golf in somewhere along the way. Maybe we must make specific days for certain things like golf and horse riding, so we get into a routine. 

That sounds great we will figure out when you play with your friends and when you will have time to go to the driving range. Great we will talk later, I have to go shower and give your mother some attention as well we will talk later.
