Salmon Colored Sunset Ablaze - March 13th 2018

For if you haven't seen the actual timelapse of this sunset, I take stills in between 9 minute intervals of film to highlight the sunset in summation for those who missed it.

Full spectrum of colors present as well as unique cloud types such as Kelvin Helmholtz Clouds.

Temperatures in the mid 30's Fahrenheit with a steady breeze, with decent gusts here and there, but far in between. Snow squalls and clouds that can't contain their moisture due to the coldness of the upper layers continue to spin up around the great lakes area of the USA. I border this air mass and thus won't receive and fun flurries.

I thought the last weather snow storm would be the potentially last event of the winter season, but I may be wrong, according to this model as of now..

By Next Wednesday at 6AM, Looks like 4-6 more inches of snow in my area

It is a bit far out to have any confidence in this model run. A lot can change in the days leading up.

What is clear in the timelapse of this sunset is how fast the upper layers of the atmosphere are churning about relative to the surface and also at 32x the regular speed of time, it is a great tool to dissect the movements of the clouds and the atmosphere layers.
