My daughters first ticket
My daughter Maya is 16 and had a car accident in August. Yesterday was her court appearance. She was so scared which is good.
Now I am torn. I really try not to put my views on my daughters, but of course I seehow unfair and broken our so called justice system is. I mean look at that building. Ridiculous..... I mean the state of Colorado said just pay her ticket and she won't have to appear. What would she learn from that. I didn't want this post to be about that so enough.
So she did the whole thing. All the talking even though she didnt want to. My favorite part of the entire experience was just before she had to talk to the judge in walks her entire legal systems class on a field trip. She was so embarrassed. I do believe a lesson was learned. She is also a better driver.
Her sister went with her for moral support and here they are running away from the court house. Haha
Wow, that building is ridiculous. And I get angry just thinking about that crap. Great job and teaching your daughters a valuable lesson they will never forget! I am also torn like you though.
Thanks. It is tough to teach the kids but let them form their own opinions.
Now teach here the REAL lesson and make her pay it herself
