Disaster pick up.... day gets better and better...
Wow... when my youngest really wants to let loose and scream... she is pretty damn good at it!
I had gone this afternoon to pick her up from the kindergarten (along with my oldest daughter), but for some reason she was just cranky as all hell (sleepy and tired...)... and didn't want to leave, but didn't want to stay... and didn't want to leave with the oldest, but also didn't want to leave with me.
So, after about 5 minutes of her crying and not doing anything... I just picked her up and walked to the car... with her kicking and screaming at the top of her lungs! This was one of the most embarrassing walks that I've ever had to do... past all the kids and parents... looking exactly like I had just decided to grab a kid and make the world's worst kidnapping... Oh, as soon as we got around the corner she got a mouthful from a pretty pissed off father!
... so, now we are home... and she is like nothing ever happened... but we need to find her sister's sleeping bag as she goes on camp tomorrow. And of course, we can't find it! So, I'm about to take the attic apart to try and find it... I thought I would have stored it with camping stuff.. but my wife says that would be a stupid place to keep it.... so, wish me luck!

Ah, the joys of children!
Back when I was a teacher I was 99% convinced that my students would do this deliberately if I took them on field-trips. Never happened, but I sure expected it to.
Haha... I'm sure that they do it purposefully... hang on, you mean the last minute missing sleeping bag.... or the crazy screaming?
Why not both?
Wishing you the luck of the Irish, and the Welsh, and of every Powerball lottery winner in history.
Haha... thanks, maybe I'll bank that luck for the next Monster Raffle!
I the father of a daughter too. She's grown up now, but I recall days like you had today. Hang in there. It's all worth it! :)
Yeah... it is all definitely worth it! We will hopefully remember the good times... and then tell stories to embarrass them when they are older!
