Spectacularly Spectacular..

What a show this morning. I almost over slept despite the relentless attempts by Pepper to get me motivated and moving. He knew it was time to get up and go out, licking his paws and stretching on my chest. Flapping his ears in my face and lightly whining. It was just enough activity to get me to roll over and open my eyes. I could see the orange glow through the shades that were pulled tight over the windows. To much for me to resist. I knew if I didn’t get up-n-at-um now, what was going on outside would quickly and quietly be over.

I’m up and we’re out ..

It was worth standing out in the cold icy air to take in this majestic moment. The light smell of burning wood stoves that filled the space around my nose, was comforting and warming to my being. As the dogs wandered here and there, I stood still. For a humble second, I had an overwhelming realization of how much I enjoy life’s footprints. Moments like these calm my inner battles, heal my insecurities and faults, Heighten my expectations and renew my soul.

Pepper took a moment to sit too..

I would like to think we were having the same moment, and I may continue to do just that. I reality, he had developed a short lived curiousness about the four legged creature pulling a rather noisy black cart.. The Amish horse and buggy. Off to do whatever it was they needed to do, the metal wheels clanked and grinding in rhythm with the clip-clop of the horse’s hoofs.

Just as quickly as it arrived ..

It was over and our day had begun. We’re anticipating a great day and are feeling blessed.
