A short walk during my lunch break…
This Short 20 Minute Stroll..
Along the ragged coastline of the Delaware River near Salem, New Jersey, proved to be enlightening. I half expected to see dark brown water, sludgy things and stuff I couldn’t identify, and lots of trash. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I found none of those things. Rather I found murky blue water, no trash, and no Unidentifiable items. I found a few crabs, other critters, birds, and such. I saw really cool water tossed Stones and shells that have been worn over by the course sand that surrounded them. I did not find any treasures, but I did find some interesting pieces of driftwood, glass, and lots of beautiful scenery. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and helped lift my spirits and obviously made this trip all that much better. I had the beach to myself so that was kind of cool too. As I looked up and down the beach I could see either salt hey swaying back-and-forth in the wind or a flag rippling as the breeze caught its Edges. Out on the water I saw Both pleasure boats and barges heading up and down the river. I felt very at ease and if it wasn’t for the long drive I would visit this spot every day for lunch!
