🤘 VERY LOW BASE JUMP!! - FROM A UK ANTENNA 🤘

😈 FREE weekend activities! 😈 The best things in life are free right?

I have seen this Antenna in the distance a couple of times before at night when I have been driving. You can see the two red lamps on top of a hill, which always gets me excited.

A few weeks ago I had a day off so I drove to it on my own during the day to have a look at it and basically do a reccie. I took the lazer with me and it measured 62 metres tall (from the ground to the exit point). This was good news as it means its jumpable, however I would choose not to freefall it (I later found out that it has been freefalled by someone 2 years ago and they almost went in!).

On my first visit I saw a lot of warning signs for radiation, so I was a little concerned. It is not an AM transmitter and the footings were not insulated so I decided it was ok.

On the jump day, once inside the compound I saw further signs stating the radiation was non-ionising, so we were happy with that.

Google what that means if you don't know :p Basically means its safe enough, but still not super safe to stay hanging about for long periods of time.

Glad to get this Antenna base jumped as it looks like building work will continue in the landing area and it may become incredibly difficult to jump in the future.
