Forest happiness - Pencil drawing
While I'm thinking about participating in the next drawing competition I decided to share with you one of my works a drawing that I drew about a year ago.
We can say that this drawing which shows a mushroom picker lying on the ground who saw a huge mushroom plantation is drawn from real events.
Once I was walking through the forest and up to my knees there was undergrowth everywhere which hid the soil with a dense carpet.
It was the month of May when I decided to check the forest for the presence of mushrooms but the situation that I saw there was not conducive to mushroom picking.
I walked around the forest, trying to rake up the green branches of young growth but I never saw any mushrooms.
At some point I tripped and fell.
Raising my head above the ground I couldn’t believe my eyes.
As far as I could see through the stems of the young bushes flywheel mushrooms were visible everywhere.
It was one of the best harvests of my life but I had to literally crawl on my stomach to collect these mushrooms.
To create the drawing I needed a white sheet of paper, graphite pencils an eraser and a pencil sharpener... a little imagination.
I had never drawn a person in such a pose and I had to work hard on the initial sketch before I saw what I wanted to see.
Gradually step by step I began to see a mushroom clearing.
This is one of the most time consuming drawings I have ever done.
Periodically I put the drawing aside and returned to it a few days later.
It's hard for me to say exactly how many hours I spent working on it but in the end I saw what I could call a finished work.
There are some mistakes here, but since everything in this drawing is fiction, I'm being gentle with it lol.
I can say that the result was similar to the happiness that a mushroom picker experiences when he finds a sea of mushrooms.

More to come!
