Good evening guys! Today I will be talking about a few things you could do to get noticed by community leaders. I’m sure someone expected me to say “whales” instead of “community leaders”. You have to understand this now; once and for all.

steemit is a different world: here, it is easier to get noticed in a social context than in the quest for individual expressions.

What I’m saying in essence is that, unlike the real world where you become noticed by standing out, on steemit people notice you based on community. You will be scaled based on your contributions to the community you belong to. My steemit life changed when I got to know and started participating actively in communities. The whole story I have written so far, is based on communal success translated into individual success.

Steemit has taught me about the possibilities of having a community without an actual place.

The following are helpful tips you would need if you are following.

Comment like a champion

I said sometime on my blog that one of the fastest way to get new followers is to comment on other people’s posts. That principle still holds till today. Don’t be swift around here. Don’t drop your post and just zoom off. If you think you need to get noticed then, I’m sure you don’t have the stomach for that. There are persons who can afford the luxury of just dropping posts and zooming off. Those are the folks who have the money and here;

it really takes big money to get big money rolling…

You can’t afford that. You need to leverage on what you have; time and a good social skills. When I say commenting I don’t mean spamming people’s blogs with stuffs like;
• I follow you, you follow me.
• I like your post.
• Upvote me.
• I like your blog.

No, critically comment and check back for feedback. Critically contribute the information on an article. And if you don’t have anything to say about the topic, please don’t just say anything. Folks get flagged for commenting trash you know. And stay clear off war zones when you sense them on a post.

Get active on discord servers

Gradually, discord is becoming one of the most powerful tool that enhances the social component of steemit. That’s a place you can’t afford not to be. Don’t go bug people who feel your company don’t matter, spend more time in general chat channels. Make friends and help answer questions in case moderators aren’t online. Make yourself useful. Someone is always watching.

Volunteer

Did I just say “do something for free”? Yeah, I sure did. Steemit is built on voluntarism and to flow freely here you have to be willing to be a part of something whether or not it pays. Look for projects where help is needed and see what you can do. I am saying this in manner of suggestion because it’s what I do myself. Don’t just sit around minding your business.

to succeed here on steemit, you really need guts to step out if your business and mind other’s

In a nutshell, do free things expecting nothing in return. Expect that someone’s always watching. And I’m due time, your hard work will be greatly rewarded. Get ready to make your steemit username and HELPLINE.

I LOVE YOU, I BELIEVE IN YOUR DREAMS, I BELIEVE YOU CAN CONTROL YOUR LIFE AND NOT CRASH BUT MAKE THE MOST OF IT

Thanks for reading this is Bait and I'm gladly bringing you word from the offline minnow school a project where I train people through STEEM and through life.

For those who seek to know what this project is all about, you can read that below;

PHASE 1:

At this stage, we teach some minnows at our offline classroom to help attain self-sustenance. These minnows will then work with us as a team, reproducing other minnows. Currently, we have just wrapped up with Phase 1. And Phase 2 which is more demanding kicked off already. We have already recorded a track which you’ll find @theminnowschool. We are also in the process of recording a next track but the negotiation is still ongoing.

PHASE 2:

This basically is the core of the vision is to raise steem-backed entrepreneurs of young people. The method through which we execute the absolute idea goes as follows;

  • SKILL ACQUISITION PROJECTS: where various skills will be taught to foster the emergence of new entrepreneurs that thrive on voluntarism.

  • THE MINNOW SCHOOL TALENT HUNT: we greatly hope to give minnows who are not really writers but have other gifts such as singing, painting, dancing, acting a platform to express themselves and get their creativity beyond their minds. Basically, we are giving these young people a voice and ultimately awaken the writer in them.

  • THE MINNOW SCHOOL ART/MUSIC EXHIBITIONS: here talented young people will get to showcase their talents and the value they have to offer to the community. We will be sponsoring art projects and professional music careers will emerge with this.
