So it seems the Monster Energy Supercross 2018 series has claimed another victim and it's a huge blow for Honda...

Cole Seely was the only remaining Honda HRC rider competing in the 450 SX class as his team mate Ken Roczen has been sidelined after yet another nasty crash which ended his campaign early.

Seely was riding well in his heat race but came up slightly short on a long jump through a rhythm section which saw him go down hard. he called for medical attention as soon as he realised he could not get off the track and was in a very dangerous line on the track.

Honda have released a confirmation of his injuries and that he will be bowing out of this years Supercross championship.

"After being evaluated at the local hospital, it has been confirmed that Cole Seely suffered a fracture to his pelvis and tailbone. He will undergo surgery tonight and more details will be released as they become available."

I expect an update to come in the next few days but i cannot see how he will return to Supercross now and i would think the focus would now be on making sure he is ready for the outdoor season.

This leaves Honda HRC in a bad position as they currently now have no riders in the 450 SX Class with both Seely and Roczen out. I will keep my eye out for who they draft in as a temporary fill-in rider and let you guys know as soon as i do.
