Monument Valley: Sunrise
As I wrote earlier in a post that, Monument Valley is most famous to capture spectacular Sunset Photographs. However, I was there for a few days and it is not that I am not going to shoot sunrise. Trouble is the Sun rises behind the Mitten Buttes as shown here, during golden hour, and the Mitten Buttes are in the silhouette. It was nearly 25F, but other than that it was still, so no wind, not hard to hold the camera steady.

The main idea of the photo is the dramatic sky. This is unedited shot straight from the camera, no editing, not even contrast change of anything. Sometimes original is the best in my opinion. Granted I can do wonders with the RAW image. But that is for some other time.

This is when the Sun comes out behind the Merrick Butte. Yes I see the lens flare, and yes I know how to remove it. And, believe me i know how not to get it the first place as well :)
But, someone recently said, and I liked it a lot, "photography is not about perfection.... perfection is boring" (@blacklux).
Although she used the statement in a different context and I am going to do the exact opposite of what she suggested, which is nothing :)
I like it just the way it is :)
Enjoy!

I like the way it is too :) And I think I like the second shot more. Not just because of the sun, but because of those flares (that lots of people really want to avoid). I think they are awesome!
And I like those front gasses.
Thank you. It is actually quite hard to get a flare on that lens :) I am a big fan of this place. I think it makes you creative. But man, it is so incredibly hard to live there.

it's amazing, the sunset scenery I never saw before, it's very hard to get this very rare sight
Brother you
I am very fond of photography and I am very excited that you have to post it in ours like this. Another thing you love is that I'm interested in you @biplob0136
Thats cool..! There's always a story with nature. The sun coming up every day is a beautiful story and so the sunset
That is once breath taking photo if I do say so myself. That must be one expensive camera.
i find Monument Valley just perfect !!!
Nice Sun Up photos. Very, very nice.
I'm a fan of Monument Valley, and I have some photos of the 'lit side' of the mittens and Merrick Butte taken from the area of Goosenecks state park that look pretty good, too. And once you are at Goosnecks I suggest Valley of the Gods and the Moki Dugway too. Big fun.
Thanks for some very dramatic photography.
Yes, been there to both places, but not in this trip. Thank you for the kind words.
