#19 : Cruising through the 'Indian Ocean'
This is the continuation of my previous post (wherein I shared my experience of Singapore). So on the Travel list of the summer, we also had Cruise (to experience life on a ship). Sailing through the Indian Ocean and exploring parts of Malaysia. It was a three day sail.
Every ship has its name.
Name of ship I boarded : Super Gemini.
It was this gigantic ship with almost everything in to make humans feel comfortable and enjoy there holidays. It had all source of entertainment : swimming pools on the deck, restaurants, spas, shopping centers, casino, entertainment shows etc. Rooms were these tiny yet efficient cabins with narrow hallways. Through the room window one could see the ocean and ship moving forward through the water. It was soothing.
So it almost took most part of our morning to board the ship. It is understandably long process. After boarding we had a safety drill wherein they explained us the safety measures and emergency procedures.
In the evening, we just relaxed and enjoyed the view. It was such a pleasant site. It was beautiful to see the site transforming from the view of harbor, buildings and numerous ships into just the view of ocean. Nothing but vast ocean, in any direction you look! In that moment, staring at the sea through the deck, you get so many thoughts and realizations. It is something unforgettable.
One of the best times were just relaxing on the stern of the ship and watching the ship forming the trail.
Also the sunset was just beautiful. It would mark the beginning of night which had its own magic.
It seemed like someone has colored the sky with dry pastels.
MOON..
I spent lot of my time sketching and painting. Cutting out the noise by turning on my songs and painting overlooking the ocean.
I had best of times on that ship. Food was delicious. Had good time with my family.
The wind and the waves could rejuvenate anyone. Also I did not had Internet connectivity there, which I enjoyed. Away from the immediate updates. It was quite relieving. Just being there and enjoying the moment.
In between the three day cruise, we also visited some parts of Malaysia. I will share the experience in my next post.
I hope you enjoyed the post :)
