Christ and the Temptress Oil Painting Sketch
I painted this a little while ago for my mother. It's actually a study for a larger piece which I haven't yet painted. My mother is a Christian, and adores Jesus. She asked me to paint a depiction of Christ for her. This oil painting shows Christ, wearing a crown of thorns, resisting the whispers of the temptress to deny who he really is, to run away. But he refuses. He stands his ground, knowing full well that he will be crucified.
And he stood to fulfil the scripture.
