Are you sure?
Because there are some sorts of forward or future contracts (I need to know the difference) that are a right to eventually own the underlying asset.
This is what is called "take delivery".

yes some do but % of volume is tiny so likely to pay large premiums to trade some situations might be good as CME futures reached $26k when spot price was under $20k
