Coin-based, full-fledged financial regulator
Coinbase, the US cryptographic exchange, announced on its Weblog posting on Monday that it has recruited former Pershing LLC executive Jeff Horowitz as its Chief Compliance Officer.
He previously served as Executive Director and Compliance Officer of Persing LLC and has led various regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) programs with Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, and Salomon Brothers as Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and financial regulators .
According to CoinBase, the company will hire him to expand the company into new markets, coin-based storage services and the launch of new services through the recent acquisition of several companies.

This summer, CoinBase announced that it has acquired Venovate Marketplace Inc, Digital Wealth LLC and Keystone Capital Corp to become a legally regulated broker dealer by the Securities and Exchange Commission. At the end of July, we created the Political Action Committee for Coin Bases (PAC), which allowed the company to sponsor its politicians in a legitimate manner.
