Another exciting match between host Russia and Spain took place yesterday and the result was shocking as Russia beat Spain via penalty to send Spain home.
The game started brightly for both sides and both sides press forward but it was Spain who got the first goal of the game after a defensive error from Russia defender that lead to an home goal, Russia keep pressing forward with some good counter attack but couldn't find the back of the net as Spain enjoys more possession as they have always do,the tiki-taka style of playing.
The second half started well but it was Russia who got a goal after Gerald pique hand ball in the penalty box and Russia made no mistake in burying the ball into the net to bring the game level.
Spain kept on pressing forward but couldn't break the Russia defense as they kept playing side ways .
The game went to extra time and both sides made changes but the game was held till final whistle and went to penalty shootout where it's anyone's game.
The penalty shootout ended 4-3 in favour of Russia as both koke and Iago aspas miss for Spain and send Russia to the quarter final round.
