Laxmi Puja Preparations!
There are several samagris or you may call them items that need to be prepared for the Puja and since there are a lot of those,I usually help out my Mom in some of the things I can. As you can see in the above Picture I am preparing the last item that needs to be done.
I also prepared some sweets made of Coconut and Til( I have no idea what Til is called in English).
The one thing that is pretty troublesome in all of this is the fact that we can't taste the food we are cooking. It's because we are offering this Food to the God's and it would be bad if we offer them food that we have already tasted. So it is tough to calculate the exact amount of Salt or Sugar that I need to put in the dishes.
Anyways I had just a 10 minute break as we are about to start the Puja, so I thought of writing this short post.

It is a rather interesting culture and respect but I have a doubt, if the goddess of wealth does not give that to change over time is because they are doing something wrong? Or was there a lack of faith in their actions?
