IBM is exploring the Cryptocurrency World

IBM has repeatedly shown interest in cryptocurrencies. The computing Giant is already a Pioneer in applications of Blockchain Technology, but lately, they are in look out for Cryptocurrencies that are not so volatile and which could be used to make cross-border payments.

Basically, they are looking into Stablecoins like TETHER, Basecoin, Havven, etc which could be used for their payments infrastructure.

What are StableCoins?

A Stable coin is a cryptocurrency that is pegged to another stable asset, like gold or the U.S. dollar. It’s a currency that is global but is not tied to a central bank and has low volatility.

Now believe it or not but Stable Coins are getting a lot of traction lately since their model is very similar to FIAT I believe. It would be good if such industries started looking into normal Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc.
