A Nepalese Doorway
Intricately Carved Doorway - Nepal
I really hope this carved wooden doorway, guarded be 2 Newari statues, still exists in Bhaktapur, Nepal as it did when I was fortunate enough to photograph it.
Durbar Square used to display some of the best craftsmanship of the Malla period (from the 12th to the 18th century) but was devastatingly damaged in the earthquake of 2015.
Since then this UNESCO World Heritage Site is slowly being reconstructed. Many of the buildings had to be demolished, and are being rebuilt from scratch.
