Learning the keto way.

With out jumping straight into a diet like I have done many times before I have decided to do my research first.

I have tried no end of diets and as a man I am quite a shamed to admit it. no other man I know talk about diets and no other man will advise a man on how to diet so this for me is a new thing to do.

I have no other man for advise, just my mum who has done the keto diet and has lost 2.5 stone in 5 months and looks fab.

I have to do something as I have got to a weight that isn't just embarrassing but is now taking a toll on my life.

I went to see the doctor who told me that I need to drop some weight before bad things happen to me.

I want to see my kids grow up, I want to be able to go to football with my lad, I want to be able to get on my knees to play dolls with my daughter.

Right now I can do these things, but getting back up is a struggle and I am finding it harder than ever to get my breath back.

The way I look at it is I have to do something about my health before something bad happens to me.

Learning the keto way is just a step to start loosing the weight I need to get my life back on track.

The way it works, after a lot of reading and a lot of talking (with mum) is you need 70% fats 25% protein and 5 % carbs.

It looks so hard to do but I am going to experiment with the diet and see if it works for me.

There is another key to the keto diet and that is to fast, my mum does 15 hours every other day and she has never felt better.

The way she has explained to me how it works is like when we were cave people, you would only eat the items that you could get your hands on and back then was very far and between.

If you think about it this way, you would go out kill something and eat that night, then you would starve until you came across another animal to eat.

Plants were not really heard of to eat back then, they picked at berries to eat and that would be it, there was no man made products like bread or pasta.

It has only been since we have become modernised that we have accept this into our lives, all the pre made foods filled with chemicals poisons and fillers.

Many of the items we consume in can forms have stuff in that are known to make us ill and yet we are eating them today as they are items that we need in our diet.

My goal is to make this work for me. I am going to try my best to blog about it as much as I can and give regular updates on my progress.
