Eating Out While On The Keto Diet.
Hi friends.
I had to pop into town this morning to buy some new shoes, as I got up later than I was meant to I had to rush to take the kids to school and I didn't get chance to eat anything.
I could have used today as a 15/9 fasting day but I felt so hungry and you don't have to fast everyday on this form of diet.
I got into town and feeling a little weak I decided that I needed to grab something to eat.
But what to have?
Every shop that sells food all promote the same carb foods such as sandwiches, pasties, cakes or buns.
I decided to go to a shop that I had not been in for years, Stanford's.
Stanford's is a little bakery and has no keto friendly foods unless you ask to miss the carbs your self.
I asked for a bacon sausage and tomato sandwich but with out the bread, the lady was really help full and even gave me a plastic fork to eat it with.
My wife and I sat on a bench and chowed down on the grub and to be fair it filled a hole that saw me through the morning.
There is always something that you can get while you are out, you just need to ask to change things around, I found that just asking for items with out the carbs worked and I got what I wanted.
It does however cost the same as it would have done in the bread but hay, I got food and I was happy that I had something to eat.
all you have to do is make sure you ask a staff member, or if you are buying pre-made items to check the pack before you buy.
30 net carbs a day is all you need to stay in ketosis.
