I'm showing my answer to the CONTEST "Photo hunt!": Week #11 - Time to collect stones

It was a call to complete a task from @qwerrie to my address.

My first thought was to show a photo from my last trip to Karelia. But the same has already been shown by @qwerrie.
So I need to show something else.
I have photos of mountains and rocks from the Urals and Finland.
Which one to choose?

I chose our Urals. Ural Mountains.
This is the Serga River in the summer of 2016. That year, my cousin and two families rafted downstream from the town of Nizhni Sergi on boats along this river to the Deer Streams Park.


On the stone cliff of this river stands an Angel of Good Hope.
This angel was installed on the cliff in 2005.
According to the author of the idea, the Swedish artist and sculptor Lena Edvall, Guardian Angels will form a single space of the globe, will guard peace and tranquility, protect people from evil, and, first of all, from wars and terrorism. It was the terrorist act of 2004 in Madrid, which led to numerous victims, that gave Lena Edvall the impetus to create a project called "United Hope".

It's been a wonderful 2 days. It's been 15 years. We were young and carefree then. we just enjoyed life and the beautiful weather that accompanied us.

We didn't know any covid at that time, everyone had excellent health. My cousin didn't have asthma. He earned it 5 years ago at work at a pipe factory.
And now he's also got covid. He has been in the hospital for a week and is being fed with oxygen. I hope everything will be fine and he will recover soon.

It's a Holey Stone. Here we finished our water rafting and landed on the shore. We took the boats on our shoulders and went to the railway crossing. It was quite a difficult part of our journey. I had to carry 2 rubber boats on myself and some other small things. This is about 40 or more kilograms. But in those days it was almost nothing to me.






It was the morning of the second day of our journey. While everyone was sleeping, I managed to go with a spinning rod to the river and fished. Then we cooked the fish soup. Is there a rest on the river without fish soup?



If someone is interested in a wonderful vacation in Russia on the Ural Mountains, then I recommend visiting the Serga River. There you can still visit a cave and a glacial split in the Ground.
