The best way to be rewarded is to expect nothing! Focus on your content. We call them articles and you of course as authors. If you provide good quality contents people will come to your blog and read them. Upvotes are of course the biggest bonuses.

Content! Content! I get that not everyone is a writer or a blogger. Just write your heart's content. Let the words flow. I see that you are a graphic designer. I am too, but I focus more in writing for my blog. It's nice that you are sharing your artworks. You can make nice posts by telling your story about your artworks.
I hope I can someday feature some of your artworks on my Daily Dose series. It's my way of appreciating artworks from various artists. By the way, I have a Japanese bloodline too. My grandfather's father is a Japanese. I am a Filipino but Japanese are very close to my heart. Maybe because of the connection I have. Well, who knows?
