This is a snippet of a science fiction novel I am writting, I am curious to get people's opinion

It was beyond technology. Darian looked around at his surroundings. Four walls, crystal clear. He had a 360° view of the rift, which he could not fathom as it was on a different plane of existence. All he could do was experience the various indescribable shapes and colors passing by. Wires of all various shapes and colors were attached to a helmet he wore which allowed him to guide the ship with his mind.

Time was of no concern, travelling through a dimensional rift negated all of its effects. He could visit anytime, anyplace in the multiverse. Problem was, being trapped in a three dimensional body made it difficult to understand various universes he visited. That is what his phase inverting computron was for.

While he waited to arrive at his destination, Darian pondered, thinking of the past, how his race became masters of time and space. The body he called home was rather awkward after millions of years of evolution adapted to their advanced technology. His skin glowed a dull white, and his eyes could see in near total darkness, thanks to a technical augmentation which could sense even the smallest quantity of photons.

After what seemed like hours, the ship began coming back into focus. The clear walls gave way to a silvery substance which had biocemetric instrument panels connected to the conduit which had pulsing blue fluid traveling throughout the vessel. It ventured along the circumference of his view.

In front of him was a viewscreen which currently showed Beta Proxima’s fourth planet. The planet was blue with water, and purple in many places where plant life had taken over the scenery. The chloroplasts took on the shade of purple on this planet due to the fact that Beta Proxima was a red dwarf star, the dark color allowed them to absorb more energy.

Darian was interested in this particular planet because it was once inhabited by an advanced race. He thought that perhaps an artifact could be found that would answer the one question that was never asked, where did the multiverse come from?

You have some great ideas here, and some great imagery, but it's a clunky read so far. That can be tightened up in your second draft! :-) Good luck! Don't stop writing!

Awesome, thank you for reading it. I'm still new to science fiction writing. Usually I stick to fantasy, but I love science so I thought I would give it a try.
