๐ฟ Boulder Sunday
#bouldersunday ~ hosted by @shasta
The boulders are still very prominent in the shallow river. Still no significant rainfall.
The leaves on the trees are slowing but surely showing some Autumn colors.
๐๐
The picture below I promised @melinda010100. An updated view of Whale rock. With the river being low there are many more visible boulders now.
The below picture I took six months ago back in April and shared it on my blog for #bouldersunday.
There were no leaves on the trees then the water in the river was much higher too.
And whale rock looked more like a whale.

Whale rock truly has a lot more friends to hang out with this fall! Thanks for the update on how that beautiful Boulder looks with the lower water levels. And I love the photo with the gorgeous leaves. Those are some massive boulders!
๐
Thank You !!!
@melinda010100
Ole Whale rock sure does looks so different. Truly has the company of many other small boulders.
The leaves are turning more colorful every day. It's an absolutely beautiful Autumn day here. There's a bit of gusty Northwest wind but still fantastic.
I hope your having a fantastic Sunday..
:-)
It has rained all last night and keeps raining off and on today with heavy clouds. A great afternoon for a nap!
๐
Perfect weather for an afternoon nap.
I would have been doing exactly just that if it was raining here. I've been outside all day doing many different tasks while the weather is still nice.
They are predicting some rain in the upcoming week.
:-)
I intended to make a pot of creamy broccoli soup this afternoon, but have had a lazy afternoon instead. The soup can wait until morning!

Yum and Yummy .
"Creamy broccoli soup" ..!!!๐!!!
:-)
There were two nice heads of broccoli in my CSA box this week. If I make soup I can freeze it in individually sized portions and enjoy it all winter go. It becomes an easy meal for me.
Looks like fall is in full swing up there. Its barely starting down here.

The leaves are getting more and more colorful everyday. My favorite time of the year.
When do the leaves start to turn in your area..?
:-)
I love that first picture with the trees starting to turn! It's so beautiful! And it's fun to see Whale rock with the different water levels. I'm glad your weather has been so nice, especially knowing what is coming in the next few months. Enjoy every minute of sunshine!
@annephilbrick If it was not for whale rock I would think the pictures were of two different places. The first pic is of another beautiful place to just sit back and chill.

@myjob
The landscape really changes when the leaves are back on the trees and equally when the leaves fall. The river definitely has it's seasonal changes too. However this September has been well below average rainfall this year. Last year it didn't raining the whole month of September well into October. Then snow came early in November..๐คทโโ๏ธ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
@annephilbrick Here the landscape looks the same year-round. Your landscape is prettiest in the fall. I do hope you have a mild winter. Last winter here was a warm one, not many cold days. I like it like that. My cold days are mild days to you. lol
Wow how gorgeous these boulders are with all that
wonderful autumn color all around! Truly beautiful @annephilbrick! :-)
Cool to see whale ๐ณ rock high and low!
Thank you so much for sharing these lovely stones!

Howdy annephilbrick! Great photos there, you guys have had an unusually dry summer?
Hello...!!!๐
@janton
Thank You...!!!
The rain fall was definitely way below average from mid July to current. But there is rain forecasted now...!!
;-)
Well I hope it isn't rainy very much until winter, you need to be able to enjoy the beautiful Fall weather before the snow starts. How's the wood stocking going?
๐
Hello @janton
I have alot stacked but I am not totally satisfied I have enough. There is plenty more wood here split but it's not very dry. I will definitely go to woodcamp in November and help out there so I can bring some dry wood home with me from there.
:-)
What is wood camp?
๐
Hi @janton
It's a place where I can go to get some wood and I work for it by helping out there and I don't have to buy the cordwood. Cordwood is to expensive for me to purchase.
:-)
Oh! Is that where you some of your wood because it's already cut up and ready to use?
๐
Hello @janton.
I get all my wood off from my land. I'm thinking I might go to woodcamp and get some there if I can't round up a little more wood here that is going to be suitable to burn this Winter. I was looking at a pretty good size Beech tree yesterday not to far in the woods. I just might harvest that and split it up into much smaller pieces.
And I still might still check into woodcamp. It's fun to help other folks....๐!
Majestic boulders in that clear water! Beautiful photos I must say.
